Institute of Science Poona (IOS), established in 1956, is one of the oldest and most distinguished educational institutions in Pune district — a pioneer with the widest network across all types of education segments.

Under the IOS umbrella, three colleges currently function efficiently — Institute of Business Management and Research, College of Computer Sciences, and Swami Vivekanand College of Education. Recognising the necessity of the industrially advanced and fast-developing PCMC and Hinjewadi IT Park region, IOS established the Arts, Commerce and Science Junior College.

The medium of instruction is English, with an initial intake capacity of 120 students each for Arts, Commerce, and Science streams. The college adheres to the fast-growing pace of society in Science and Technology, providing modern infrastructure, highly qualified staff, on-campus facilities, and opportunities for learning beyond the curriculum.
